Between 1994 and 2002 I lived on the Greek Island of Rhodes. A great shock to me was that the people of island communities inevitably know everything about everyone on the island. I had to remind myself  that if I wanted a private life I had to be quiet.  If you notice the date of the painting you will see a ten-year segment, I have kept the painting as an oil sketch and last week decided to "clean it up" and I am very satisfied with the result.

I had a lot of fun putting this in a scarlet oil painted 5" frame.
