Mourning,
2004-6, charcoal on Rives BFK, 26 x 19 inches. $800 unframed.
This is a mourning tribute to an important friend of mine, Thodoris A. Archontopoulos. He died from a very rare case of leukemia. I knew him on the island of Rhodes. He was an Athenian, and was a Byzantine archaeologist and historian. He was a perfectionist, stickler for details, ruthless teacher, contrarian, charming, great dancer, and spoke French, English, and Greek in a rich, baritone voice. He will be missed.
