Framing

Some works are framed, and some are not. If they are framed the asking price includes the price of the frame. Also my custom framers can do an excellent job framing the artwork for you, starting at $100 for a 9 x 12 inch painting.

Pastels

Pastels on paper are fragile and difficult to frame and ship. The best options are to send the pastel flat protected by glassine (a sheet of special paper that repels pastel). Then have you, the collector, frame it.

Framing is moderately expensive, $300 - $500. The key element is Museum Glass Tru-Vue, about $175 for a 20 x 30 inch sheet, completely non-glare, and looks awesome anywhere, because all you see is the art work. Normal glass reflects too much to enjoy your pastel thoroughly.

Shipping framed pastels is iffy, if the shipment is shaken, pastel powder might dislodge and litter the matt. Shipping glass is also fragile, but Pexi-glass is not recommended because the plastic acts as a magnet attracting the pastel powder to inner surface.
