Borrego Springs is in an area of California high desert between San Diego and Salten Sea. The town is cradled behind  by dramatic mountains and in front, it opens to a softly descending view of the desert expanse. This area has a wonderful contrast of colors from hot yellows and oranges to the purple shadows and blue skies; a great pleasure to paint.
