I was fixated with this lone dead mangrove tree on the edge of the bay. It looks so desolate and something about struck me as very human; the arching branch like a victim of an accident reaching out for help or like those corpses from Pompeii preserved in their last living gesture by the ashes spewed from Mount Vesuvius.
