While driving in the Los Angeles Mountains the 10' Yucca flowers stood out glowing brightly against the high desert brush; I think I hit the day when they couldn't be more beautiful. Their luminescence was shockingly bright to me. I drove for about an hour looking for the just the right Yucca, light, and setting. I am delighted with how the creamy brightness of the Yucca turned out in this painting.
