The Studio

My studio in Downtown Los Angeles, the painting wall is at the far end.

In March 2012, I moved into a 1600 sq ft space in the art loft district of Los Angeles. It's a live/work space and it has tons of wall space, good kitchen, living quarters. One of my best studios.

This is the place I entertain friends, usually around a meal, teach classes, show my work, and work on my art projects.

It's an unexpected pleasure to have art in the bathroom. I sold my first 7 works from this spot, who would have known. Melissa Hefferlin commented to me: "Maybe people see art better when their pants are down." Ha, do you think that should now be a requirement to viewing art? Bathroom humor aside, I love having the art there, it feels soulful and calming.
