Puccini was painted between Pursuit '84 and Denouement '87. Puccini is the famous opera composer of Tosca, Madama Butterfly, and Turandot. His music is sparkling, melodic, and passionate. From the first moment I heard the first chords of his music I have loved his work and continue to do so.  Perhaps more than any other artist his work has influenced and inspired my principal works, such as Denouement. An apprentice once commented while hearing his music in my studio: "Now I understand where your images come from."
