Monthly Studio Update - July, 2001

Studio Updates:

I have been traveling in the States for most of July and part of June. For ten days I was at The Objectivist Center's Summer Seminar in Johnstown, Pennsylvania where I gave a seminar for artists, gave my lecture Detecting Metaphysical Value Judgements in Painting, and showed my smaller current work.

July Studio Update shows there are two new developments for the paintings Venus and Artemis. In Venus, I have begun to put in the color of the sky and the detailing of the mountains of the Island behind her.

There is a significant change in Artemis from the first May Studio Update. I have added a design motif on the walls behind her and I have washed the entire canvas in a dark gray purple.

August and September Studio Updates will prove to have much more happening in them, so stay tuned.
