STUDIO UPDATE: FEBRUARY 2003
Non-Studio Updates:
The Pandora's Box Series, articles which were published by the Free Radical, both in hard copy and online, will also be placed online at Art Renewal Center. Art Renewal receives 450,000 visitors and 15 million hits a month. This is being setup in the coming weeks.
Joy Bushnell is interviewing me for the Free Radical. The initial questions are dealing with art evaluation, historical context, and the viewer's context. Far from being dry her questions burn with an understanding of the power of art to touch our deepest selves.
I am setting up a business consortium, Naissance Holdings International Co., in which investors are buying shares of a few of my major works and the consortium will sell these works later at a more opportune time. It is also my hope that the consortium will have works by other artists as well.
Studio Update:

Unrealistically I was hoping to finish Venus before I left Greece; not to be. But it is not new for me to start a painting in one place and finish it somewhere else. I will have to engage another model with a similar body and coloring. This makes things difficult but I have a promise from the original model that she will give a week's time for the finishing touches.

Artemis is all blocked in but I want to spend more time with her and tweak here and there until I am 100% satisfied.

This is the modest beginnings of a small painting inside my home, if feels great to have started painting for real in my new studio.
That is it for February's update.
