Today’s Throwaway Pastel Edit

There was little to go on, and just went at it with my imagination.

Today I pulled out a drawing that had a glimmer of an idea, but when I squinted at it there was nothing there, just not enough visual info. When there is a piece like that I think of it as a “throw-away” piece, it is 30 minutes from being tossed into the trash can. That attitude gives me a lot room to play and use my imagination, it doesn’t matter, just have fun.

It is a good window into how I “think” visually, without a reference, just my mind composing and moving colors around. For some reason it reminds me of the candy, Skittles. But I like the piece a lot, enough to sign it.
