The World is Not Enough Going To Its Earthly Home

Newberry, The World Is Not Enough, 2018, oil on linen, 64×48″

Today, I delivered The World Is Not Enough, to its new earthly home of Bill and Susan Surber. It will be two or three weeks before its spot is ready for hanging. The wall will be treated with charcoal colored linen, recessed lighting, and it will be given a razor thin frame. The Idyllwild home has open cathedral ceilings, a modern take on a mountain A-frame house. She (the incomparable Georgie Leahy was the model) is looking up towards the rafters and skylights.
