Thanksgiving 2020, What I am Thankful For

Michael Newberry, Idyllwild, Thanksgiving Day 2020, exception making: wearing the first and only tie I have owned in decades.

I am thankful for reason, perception, and the indomitable human spirit; for our police and military that protect the innocent and our country; for the Bill of Rights, the US Constitution, individualism, and freedom; for real journalists, that separate fact from opinion; for Bach, Beethoven, Puccini, Leontyne Price, and Ella Fitzgerald; for Rembrandt, Michelangelo, Monet, and Van Gogh; for the Spartan Pledge, Project Veritas, and freedom fighters; for creators and those that appreciate them; for my collectors, what an honor to have my work living with them; for my muses; for everyone who does good works in health, art, business, and justice; and for my loved ones. Thank you!

And for a different reason I am also thankful for postmodernists and PM artists; for corrupt long-term politicians and their supporters; for thugs, bullies, and socialists; for power hungry sociopaths that are psychologically weak; for cons and pseudo-intellectuals; for the FBI and CIA; for censorship and shadow banning; and for useful idiots who in part or whole make evil possible. Thank you for serving the same purpose as death does to life — seeing how horrible they are makes appreciating the good all the more wonderful.
